IMAGINE THE FINISH LINE

Last year I decided to publish a book after writing for some years. Immediately, the first thing that came to mind was how I will fund the cost of publishing. I began to think and become all worked up.Then I sent a message to a senior consultant friend.

This was her advise to me

Abigail to become an Author or to publish a book, you need to get your write ups edited and ready to be published’. That is the difficult part, once that is done, find a publisher and you will do so. The main issue is not money but getting the work ready’.

Honestly, I was so encouraged by her advice. She told me I am getting worked out by the process however if I can imagine the end product – THE BOOK (FRESH OIL DEVOTIONAL), and what I want to accomplish or achieve with it, nothing will stop me from doing so including MONEY.

I am sharing a bit of my journey as an Author to encourage you today, not to allow anything or anyone to become a stumbling block in realising your dreams or aspirations. Today, I am an Author of two published books, to GOD alone be the Glory.

Truthfully, to the Words, of my consultant friend though it was not easy, as soon as the work was done and ready for publication I got it published. Money though was essential, it was not the main issue.

Lessons Learned

  1. Be motivated to imagine the end goal of your dream for your education, business, family, marriage among many others. Don’t see anything as a hindrance and be prepared to do the hard work.
  2. Never hesitate to ask the right questions from the right sources and be willing to be advised, because no one knows it all.
  3. Do remember that life is a journey and each day is a blessed opportunity to do what brings you the greatest joy and satisfaction while impacting others. The only way to truly achieve this is to live your dreams.
